What Do You Know About Hair Loss?

    16/03/2023

Hair loss is an issue that we consider with its consequences rather than its causes. However, a result-oriented approach alone is not enough to combat this situation. Hair loss is a problem that needs to be treated with appropriate methods. Therefore, unfortunately, we cannot talk about a satisfactory solution option that may be suitable for everyone.

Why does our hair fall out?

There may be many reasons for the problem of hair loss that you can think of or that you have not even thought of.

    • Hair may be in the shedding phase of their natural growth cycle. Because every strand of hair has a lifespan. You can't keep any hair that has expired on your head.
    • Genetic factors are the most common cause of hair loss in both men and women.
    • Hormonal disorders or hormonal changes can result in hair loss.
    • With advancing age, hair quality begins to deteriorate. Hair loss can become permanent.
    • Traumas such as accidents and burns affecting the head area can lead to permanent hair loss.
    • Hair loss can sometimes come to the fore as an inevitable result of a troublesome treatment process.
    • Some chronic diseases or some drugs used in the treatment of diseases can cause hair loss.
    • Your diet has more of an impact on your hair health than you might imagine.
    • One of the most common consequences of vitamin and mineral deficiency is hair loss.
    • If diseases such as psoriasis, eczema, acne and fungus affect the scalp, hair loss may be inevitable.
    • Chemical treatments such as perms, permanent hair dye or high-temperature hair styling devices can damage the hair quality.
    • Your hair may also fall out due to the hairstyles you prefer. Tight buns, tight braid models, tight hairpins, in short, hard and tight actions that can create pressure on the hair and scalp can result in pulling-induced hair loss, which we call traction alopecia .
    • Autoimmune diseases that affect the immune system and are triggered by stress can cause sudden and regional hair loss.

As can be seen; Many factors, from genetic predisposition to your hair collection style, can trigger hair loss. Therefore, each cause should be considered in itself and a treatment route should be established by considering the trigger factors rather than the result.

Can Hair Loss Be Prevented With Home Hair Care Applications?

On some platforms, you may come across very clear and assertive statements on this subject. Various herbal recipes, mixtures or hair care products on the market shelves may seem attractive enough to make you think that you can get rid of this problem in a practical way. However, let me state that this is not very compatible with hair science. If you have a genetic predisposition; No shampoo or hair mask can help you prevent hair loss. Likewise, unless hormonal disorders or systematic diseases affecting hair follicles are controlled, you cannot stop hair loss caused by these problems by applying home care. The only way to combat this problem is to act with a realistic and scientific approach. When you apply the right and conscious care to your hair, you will support the health of the hair and scalp. This is no small thing. However, it is debatable whether it will be sufficient on its own.

When Should Hair Transplantation Be Considered?

Hair transplantation is not a treatment method that helps prevent hair loss. Hair transplantation is an option that should be considered in cases where baldness is permanent and hair loss becomes stable . If we are sure that the lost hair will not grow back, if the hair loss problem does not continue actively, if the balding areas have turned into aesthetic concerns, we can consider hair transplantation. The primary step should be to prevent or delay hair loss that will require hair transplantation, not hair transplantation.
