Remarkable Increase in Revision Hair Transplantation

    27/09/2022

The pleasing results provided by current hair transplantation technologies increase the interest in hair transplantation day by day. This rise is also considered as an indicator of success in hair transplant surgeries. Recently, a remarkable intensity has been observed in the demands for revision hair transplantation. We should consider this situation as an indicator of failure. Revision hair transplantation is a correction procedure performed to compensate for unsuccessful or faulty hair transplantation. So, why has the need for revision hair transplantation increased so much despite the advanced technology that is updating itself day by day?

People Who Plant Dreams Instead of Hair

When the intense interest shown in hair transplant surgeries is met with unsubstantiated promises, revision hair transplant may be inevitable. Anxiety and expectations are the areas most prone to exploitation. Hair transplantation is not a physiological necessity, but a preferred method to eliminate aesthetic concerns. The result of the surgeries performed by people who are not competent in this field in places that are contrary to health conditions may not be just a faulty hair transplant image. In order not to harm your health, budget and aesthetic expectations, the first thing you should do is to search for people who have expertise and experience in hair transplant surgeries. It is the primary responsibility of the hair transplant specialist to balance expectations at a reasonable level and to provide honest information about possible results.

    Proper Procedure Planning is Everything

One of the reasons that necessitate revision hair transplantation is planning and calculation errors. Hair transplant surgeries take their power from the donor area. Hair transplant surgery is successful if there are enough hair follicles to meet the demand in the donor area and the transplant area is fertile. Hair follicles collected from the donor area indiscriminately in order to obtain a denser hair image cause an unpleasant appearance after the procedure. The number of grafts that can be collected varies from person to person. I suggest you be skeptical of clinics that make promises beyond donor capacity. Another planning mistake that causes the need for correction is caused by the wrong design of the front hairline. It is a situation that I frequently encounter in my patients who apply to me with a revision hair transplant request. “What is a natural hairline?” By reading my article titled, you can understand why front hairline design is so important in hair transplantation.

Patients Persistent in Their Unrealistic Expectations

Some patients knock on the door of the hair transplant specialist with a photograph in their hands that does not belong to them. This photo is of a movie star or singer that he sometimes admires. Or even if that photograph is not in his hand, it is in his mind and the result he wants to achieve is exactly as he shows or describes. Of course, it is your most natural right to want to achieve a visual result that you can be satisfied with as a result of hair transplantation; however, it should not be forgotten that there are some conditions in order to achieve the desired hair density. Presence of sufficient amount of hair follicles in the donor area, no damage to the scalp in the area to be transplanted, the hair transplant technique used, your effort in the healing process, etc. Many factors affect the result of hair transplantation.

What Are the Reasons for This Revolting Increase in Revision Hair Transplantation?

I have mentioned the possible causes of unsuccessful hair transplant surgeries in detail in my previous articles. When the reasons why hair transplant surgeries need revision are so clear, errors can be detected so clearly, we can answer the question of why the demands for correction are increasing rapidly.

    • Unequipped clinical conditions
    • Marketing traps
    • Commercial concerns become a priority over human health
    • Lack of knowledge, experience and research

    Wrong Account Returns From Baghdad

    • If your transplanted hair has caused a grass man appearance
    • If bad images have occurred in the donor area due to the collected grafts
    • If your transplanted hair looks like a wig due to the determined front hairline
    • If everyone notices at a glance that you have had a hair transplant
It’s time to search for a good hair transplant specialist for revision hair transplant. Do not worry, it is possible to compensate. What did they say? Wrong account returns from Baghdad.
